Be Deadly!

How would you like your art or message to become a part of the official Deadly Days merchandise for 2009 & 2010 Calendar?

All you need to do is design a piece of art and/ or a written message that addresses any of the themes of the Festivals below:

The strong, smart and deadly festivals are about young people seeing that it’s important to:

  • be at school every day, and keep going through to the end of high school
  • find out information about further education, training and career pathways – including TAFE
  • be smart, strong and positive about education and how to live well, including staying healthy and away from strife and drug abuse
  • achieve a higher standard of reading and writing and maths
  • learn more about, and keep, contemporary and traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures alive
  • build self-esteem, stay strong and know you can achieve success in education and for the whole of life
  • connect with strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander role models and learn from them
  • make communities strong by being involved at the community level in planning events such as Deadly Days

Entry details

All you need to do to enter the competition is:

  1. Be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander young person (18 years or younger)
  2. Submit your design in one of the following formats: hard copy art work on A4 paper ; digital art work (jpg, gif or tif 300 dpi CMYK)
  3. Or….. submit your written message on an A4 piece of paper (10 words or less)
  4. Send it in to: NCALP Deadly Days PO Box 569 Lismore NSW 2480
  5. Include your name, school, Year level, contact phone number and/ or email address
